LGBTQ+ Student Support Program

Offers one on one support, case management, and service coordination to students. We see this as a step between peer support and therapy - while we are not offering structured therapeutic interventions, we assist students who feel they could benefit from personalized support from a LGBTQ+ graduate student who is performing their Social Work field placement at LGBTQ+ Student Services.

LGBTQ+ Mentorship Program

Provides a 1:1 mentor/mentee relationship for students that focuses on career guidance and general support. Each student is paired with a college graduate who is a member or ally of the LGBTQ+ community and a working professional. Mentors will provide career information and share their own lived experiences to support the professional and personal growth of student mentees.

Safe Space Training

Safe Space trainings are opportunities to learn about LGBTQ+ identities, gender and sexuality, and examine prejudice, assumptions, and privilege. Participants also learn what it means to be an ally, and discussing the ways that faculty, staff, and students can actively contribute to creating/maintaining a safe and inclusive campus environment for all. We maintain a list on our website of all CSU faculty and staff who have taken this training.

The Pride Guide Podcast

Join queer hosts and queer guests as they explore the various complexities and intricacies of LGBTQ+ life. From making LGBTQ+ friends, to surviving the holidays, to the intimacy questions you've been too afraid to ask, no topic is off-limits for The Pride Guide. Vikes?With Pride Campaign

We routinely feature members of the CSU LGBTQ+ and Allies community on our social media platforms and on an annual poster! Students, staff, and faculty are all encouraged to participate if they are comfortable doing so. This campaign is aimed to increase visibility of the LGBTQ+ community on campus.

CSU LGBTQ+ Faculty & Staff Connection

This affinity group is a space for CSU faculty and staff to gather around a shared affinity. This is a national best practice in diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice education. Affinity groups are for individuals who identify as members of the group, and in the case of this particular group, for those who can speak to the experience of being LGBTQIA+ from their own perspective.
