In April 2017, Faculty Senate approved the?Required Procedures & Recommended Practices to Address Security and Quality of eLearning Courses.The faculty senate?recommendations stress the?importance of setting?expectations for academic?integrity. Communicating this to?students helps to foster a?climate aligned with academic?integrity.??

The Center for eLearning helps to educate faculty on best practices in online course design, teaching strategies and using assignment and assessment settings appropriately to reduce the likelihood of cheating. Additionally, integrations in Blackboard,?such as Respondus LockDown Browser, Respondus Monitor, SafeAssign and Turnitin aid in the prevention of cheating.?

Faculty can do a lot to aid the effort in? emphasizing academic integrity.
