CSU Inclusive Access

CSU Inclusive Access is a partnership between Hospitality Services, Academic Affairs and Viking Outfitters that provides students enrolled in participating courses access to their required course material on or before the first day of classes. In turn, the cost to the student is drastically reduced for the interactive digital course materials/textbooks. CSU Inclusive Access cost is charged to enrolled students' accounts and paid directly or with Financial Aid.

Participating Courses and corresponding inclusive access textbook fees are listed here.

The goal of this program is to improve educational success from day one, while reducing the cost of course materials for students by up to 80%.

The CSU Inclusive Access collaborative partnership is an example of how Cleveland State is focusing on CSU student success by providing course materials in a low-cost and time-efficient manner.

HOW IT WORKS:

An e-mail will be sent to students prior to the first day of  classes (from sender, noreply@follett.com) informing the student that they are enrolled in a course that is part of the CSU Inclusive Access program. The e?-mail will include the opt-out date, student's username (vikes.csuohio.edu email account), and the opt-out portal link. Please note that not all courses OR ALL SECTIONS of a course are part of the program. To see the complete list of courses in the program, visit the URL page.  Students will access the required course material through Blackboard or BryteWave, depending on the type of materials being used. Instructors will inform students the proper way to access the content in their specific course.

By default, students are opted into the content. If the student decides they do not want their required course material to be delivered in this program, they have the option to OPT-OUT. If you choose to opt-out, you will be solely responsible for obtaining the appropriate course materials/textbook. Typically, the last date to opt-out is the day following the last day for a refund as set by the Bursar.

WHY IT WORKS:

Access to the material is guaranteed by the first day of classes, possibly earlier. It is available as soon as the instructor makes the course available to students in Blackboard, eliminating the need to wait for purchase codes or pickup/delivery of course materials at the campus store.
