CSU's Strategic Plan: 2025-2030

Cleveland State University is developing its new strategic plan, which will guide the University's efforts through 2030.

CSU's Strategic Planning Task Force is working throughout the Fall 2024 semester to develop a strategic plan that is inclusive of the CSU community, ambitious in its scope and measurable in its goals. With this new strategic plan in mind, CSU's senior leadership team will identify the University's highest priorities and goals for the years ahead.

During the development of the strategic plan, many details will require discussion, input and feedback from the Strategic Planning Task Force and the CSU community at large. However, the strategic plan will focus on those items that are most central to the University's identity, namely dedication to students and service to the community. The plan will explore how CSU can best serve its students and Northeast Ohio with creativity and innovation.

Our Emerging Strategic Plan

On Oct. 30, the Strategic Planning Task Force presented to CSU students, faculty and staff members the latest elements of the new strategic plan, including the University's mission statement, vision, values and priorities. Although still in progress, these elements of the plan convey the University's direction in the years to come, its ambitions and strengths.

Elements of the Plan

During information sessions held in September 2024, the Strategic Planning Task Force collected more than 375 responses to a survey, requesting feedback on draft elements of the strategic plan. Based on the suggestions and input received, the Task Force has made revisions to several strategic statements.
