Housing rates are subject to approval by the CSU Board of Trustees. Housing rates on the?following pages are outlined based on the CSU Guarantee Cohorts which represent when first year degree-seeking undergraduates and eligible transfer students started at Cleveland State University.
Housing Contract Terms
10/12 Month Options
New for Fall 2024: All students have the option to choose a 10 or 12 month contract. The default contract will be 10 months (August-May), but students can now opt into a 12 month contract, that will also cover summer (August-July). Summer housing will be an additional $2000 for Summer 2025. For students who opt into a 12 month contract, this will be billed $1000 in the Fall 2024 semester and $1000 in the Spring 2025 semester so that financial aid/grants/scholarships can aid in funding, if applicable.?
Break Periods
The Euclid Commons and Fenn Tower residential communities close during break periods. Students are permitted to stay in the communities during the Thanksgiving Recess and Spring Break periods as long as they register when break registration opens. However, the Euclid Commons and Fenn Tower?residential communities are closed during the Winter Break period (between the end of Fall semester and the start of the Spring semester). Students who wish to stay during Winter Break will pay an additional charge to reflect the Winter Break period as outlined in the rates below. Students residing in The Edge and The Langston residential communities do not have to leave during the Winter Break period?as long as they register when break registration opens.?

Meal Plan Rates
All residents living in university housing are required to select one of the residential meal plans for the entire academic year. Students residing in The Edge and The Langston will be eligible for a condensed meal plan at a lower rate to reflect the independent living environment while ensuring students have access to sustenance throughout the year while dining locations and restaurants are open.
