Congratulations Black Faculty and Staff Executive Committee Elect

The Black Faculty and Staff Organization (BFSO) recently held its elections for the period of 2023-2025. "We are proud of the work we have accomplished over the past four years and look forward to flourishing as an organization with the officers elect," said incumbent president, Audrey M. Wiggins, communications coordinator for the Washkewicz College of Engineering.

The executive committee elect consists of:

President:  Kimberly Springer, Student Life, Director, Campus Engagement
Vice President:  Adrienne Gosselin, English Department, Associate Professor
Recording Secretary:  George Smith-Whitfield, Student Life, Care Manager
Corresponding Secretary:  Marcia Houston, Department of Human Resources, HR Data Center Specialist
Treasurer:  Sheila Gardner, Wolstein Convocation Center, Fiscal Officer
Parliamentarian:  Claude Brown, Washkewicz College of Engineering Dean, Administrative Assistant

Sheila Gardner is returning as treasurer and Marcia Houston and George Smith-Whitfield, corresponding and recording secretary respectively, were previously appointed to complete unexpired terms. “It’s great to have some continuity at the executive level,” said, Wiggins. “I am also grateful for the outstanding leadership that Vice President Dr. Victoria Winbush provided over the last several years. She joined the executive committee to complete an unexpired term of corresponding secretary and was nominated and elected vice-president. She has served BFSO diligently and faithfully. We wish her well as she transitions from the University, over the summer semester, as Graduate Faculty with the School of Social Work.
