A Virtual Courageous Conversation on Defining Free Speech

2952a7474396eddf05ac99da_1120x560.pngCleveland State University’s acclaimed virtual dialog series Courageous Conversations has tackled all manner of topics and news of the day related to inclusiveness and diversity–doing so through honest discussions between CSU leaders and both public- and non-profit leaders in a safe, supportive space.

On Thursday, May 4 at 11:30 a.m., this virtual conversation will center on defining free speech and hate speech and learning what type of free speech is protected by the law. The virtual panel discussionis entitled "Free Speech... What Is It and Why Does It Matter?" and will include opportunity to ask questions to our panel of CSU professionals, which will include:

Anup Kumar, Professor of Communication and President of the CSU Faculty Senate

Reginald Oh, Professor of Law at CSU

The event will be moderated by Sonali Wilson, Vice President of Legal Affairs and Compliance, General Counsel, and Board Secretary at CSU.

With the end goal of creating lasting change in the community, past virtual Courageous Conversations sessions have identified solutions to address systemic racial and gender injustice, while fostering more inclusive, diverse environments that are guided by share wisdom and empowerment.
