U.S. News & World Report Again Ranks CSU Amongst Best Grad SchoolsBest Grad Schools highlights for 2023-2024 include top accolades for Levin College of Public Affairs and Education

CLEVELAND, Ohio (May 3, 2023) —?Cleveland State University has again been ranked among the 2023-2024 Best Graduate Schools by U.S. News & World Report. Annual rankings are released each spring, designed for prospective students looking to further their education beyond college.

Best Graduate Schools evaluates a variety of disciplines. CSU ranked high in individual specializations within the graduate programs. Among CSU’s 24 unique accolades, the Levin College of Public Affairs and Education specialty public affairs grad programs in Urban Policy and Local Government Management ranked #3 and #12 in the nation, respectively (both were #1 in all of Ohio).?

Levin was also ranked the #1 for Public Affairs in northern Ohio, having been recognized for its specialization in areas of city management and urban policy in this annual ranking since 1998.

“We are honored to continue our legacy of being ranked as one of the best public affairs and education schools in the nation,” said Roland V. Anglin, Ph.D., Dean and Professor at Levin. “We are particularly proud to maintain our position of being ranked third in Urban Planning and Policy.”?

“Folding the expertise of our public affairs, education, and human services faculty and staff into the new Levin College of Public Affairs and Education has provided valuable capacity as we advance our work in economic and community development, city planning, public safety, health, education, and new media,” Dean Anglin shared.

“The Levin College’s consistently high rankings reflect our strong commitment toward improving public policies and expanding opportunities for underserved people and communities, while creating pipelines through which traditionally underrepresented groups can thrive.”

Grad programs at CSU in Chemistry, Education, Engineering, and Law were again ranked as among the best programs in the country —the latter landing rankings for the Part-Time Law graduate program, as well as Healthcare Law, Legal Writing, Intellectual Property Law, International Law and Tax Law.

By collecting graduate school data annually, U.S. News aims to present current figures on enrollment, job placement, faculty, and other quality indicators to help potential students make informed decisions. Rankings evaluate schools across nearly 200 different areas and regular updates to the methodology and programs keep the rankings relevant.
