Event celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Get ready to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month when the?Latin Arts Festival returns to CSU on Tuesday, September 26, at the Ronald Berkman Hall Auditorium (1899 East 22nd Street).

Presented by the CSU Cultural Crossings, this event promises a mesmerizing showcase of musical talent. The lineup includes:

• Latin Fusion Band “Son Gitano”

• Francisco Bedoy (Piano), accompaniment by Madeline Levitz

• String Duo Alonso-Rebuffi, Rodrigo Lara Alonso (Guitarist) and Marcelo Rebuffi (Violinist)

Professor of Spanish and Linguistics, Antonio Medina-Rivera, emphasized the significance of this event within the CSU Hispanic Awareness Month. “This event is a fantastic way to reach out to the Latino community," he said. “Our inaugural Latino Festival in 2019 was a resounding success.”

Medina-Rivera also highlighted the star power of “Son Gitano,” a beloved local band that's sure to draw a diverse crowd from the region.?
