Noted American pianist Jeffrey Siegel performs Mar. 8

Cleveland State University’s School of Music will host the Henry J. Goodman Family Concert featuring noted American pianist and soloist Jeffrey Siegel, Sunday, March 8. The event will include music for the young and the young at heart with a performance that is part of Keyboard Conversations, founded by Henry J. Goodman.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m. and will be held in Drinko Hall in the Music and Communication Building, at 2001 Euclid Avenue. The program is free and open to the public. Seating is available on a first come, first served basis.

After the passing of Henry J. Goodman, his widow Lois Goodman, requested that donations be made to Cleveland State for Keyboard Conversations. Henry Goodman was fundamental in bringing the series to the University. Keyboard Conversations is a series of concerts combined with commentary and dynamic performances of piano masterpieces. Listeners discover an entertaining and instantly accessible introduction to the vast repertoire of the piano and classical music.

Born into a musical family, Jeffrey Siegel studied with Rudolf Ganz in his native Chicago, with the legendary Rosina Lhévinne at The Juilliard School and, as a Fulbright Scholar, with Ilona Kabos. Siegel has performed with some of the world's great orchestras including the Berlin Philharmonic, London Symphony, New York Philharmonic and Cleveland Orchestra. He and his wife live in New York and have two grown children and three grandchildren.
