30th Anniversary of EPA’s Climate Partnership Programs

EPA 30th Anniversary Partner BadgeJust over thirty years ago, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency launched its first voluntary climate partnership program, Green Lights. Cleveland State University joined this program in 1994. Today we are among tens of thousands of organizations that are voluntarily reducing emissions by partnering with the EPA. Our current collaboration includes the EPA Green Power Partnership which recognizes Cleveland State's commitment to purchasing electricity from renewable sources.?

Over thirty years, EPA's Climate Partnership Programs like Green Power Partnership have helped Americans save more than $500 billion and achieve more than 6 billion metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, a total which exceeds all U.S. carbon dioxide emissions in 2019.
